New month = new books ♥
Thank God for writers!
April is full of awesome new releases I can’t wait for, and they all have wonderful ratings. From YA contemporary romance, to memoirs, historial fiction and fantasy, here is a list of some of the books you should be looking forward to this upcoming month:
Sky in the Deep by Adrienne Young
Vikings?
Ancient, rival clans?
Family betrayal?
Yes, yes, yes!
Out April 24th.
Emotionally stressed Veronica Cavanaug throws herself into the search of her husband’s sudden disappearance. To make matters worse her three-year-old daughter has an odd new imaginary friend and is convinced her daddy is dead. Goodreads promises this to be a ‘mounting psychological suspense’. Out April 1st.
Hell’s Princess: The Mystery of Belle Gunness, Butcher of Men by Harold Schechter
This book looks so intriguing! A true account of America’s greatest female psychopath. For all of you fellow True Crime fans out there, this novel is out April 1st.
This fictional thriller, out on April 10th, follows Maggie on her search to discover the truth behind a gut-wrenching crime: the death of her daughter at the hands of her husband.
I Have Lost My Way by Gayle Forman
This book’s blurb doesn’t really say much but I LOVED If I Stay so I’m excited to read another Gayle Forman book. Out on April 1st.
Before I Let You Go by Kelly Rimmer
Lexie Vilder finds herself taking care of her estranged and deeply troubled sister’s baby. This book promises to be a candid and compassionate story about love and family.
Out April 3rd.
The Essex Serpent by Sarah Perry
Now that is a gorgeous cover. Out April 24th, this historical fiction is Sarah Perry’s promising debut.
The Oracle Queen (Three Dark Crowns 0.1) by Kendare Blake
Three Dark Crowns has been on my TBR for forever and I’m so glad this is out. Maybe I should read it first before starting the series. Out April 3rd.
Love Songs & Other Lies by Jessica Pennington
Out April 24th, this YA romance sounds like yet another fluffy, cute, light read and I love it!
Isle of Blood and Stone (Isle of Blood and Stone #1) by Makiia Lucier
YA FANTASY FOR THE WIN! Our main character is a royal explorer and a skilled mapmaker in a kingdom with a dark past. Can April 10th come any faster? We all need new good fantasy series out there.
Everybody, Always: Becoming Love in a World Full of Set-backs and Difficult People by Bob Goff
Out April 17th, I believe this is a book a lot of people need to read. Goff lights the way towards indiscriminate, uninhibited and limitless love for the reader.
Devils Unto Dust by Emma Berquist
Described as: “Western meets horror for this riveting story about survival, family, and inner strength.” Out April 10th. I’ve never read a book with a Western-ey vibe so I’m looking forward to this one.
Son of the Dawn (Ghosts of the Shadow Market #1) by Cassandra Clare and Sarah Rees Brennan
First of all, that cover’s hot. Second, Cassandra Clare. Ok.
Out April 10th.
The Girl I Used To Be by Mary Torjussen
In this book, Gemma Brogen experiences a hangover of epic proportions. Clues about what happened the night before arrive to her with a vengeance and she must navigate the blackmail and her past’s shadows in the hopes of saving her marriage. This mystery thriller is out April 24th.
Before I Let You In by Jenny Blackhurst
“…about a psychiatrist and patient relationship that turns not only toxic…but deadly.” Whoa. I need this book. Out April 10th.
The Pirate Bride by Kathleen Y’Barbo
Out April 1st this novel is “for fans of all things related to history, romance, adventure, faith, and family trees” AKA for me.
Shopping for a Billionaire’s Baby (Shopping for a Billionaire #13) by Julia Kent
I’ve been meaning to start this series for a while now because it just seems so cute and entertaining but its loooong. I love reading the blurbs though! They always promise so much fun. Out April 24th.
School for Psychics (School for Psychics #1) by K. C. Archer
I came across this book while scrolling through Bookstagram and immediately added it to my TBR jus because it has the word psychic in the title. This YA Paranormal novel is out April 3rd.
Unwifeable by Mandy Stadtmiller
Out April 3rd, Mandy Stadtmiller’s candid memoir promises full disclosure on her many failed romances.
